Empowering high-performance UVC logic circuitry and thermal dissipation solutions deployed in Montevideo and inland agricultural processing zones.
The technology behind solid-state ultraviolet emission has undergone an paradigm shift. The integration of Aluminium Gallium Nitride (AlGaN) semiconductor layers enables targeted optical emission profiles ranging from short-wave UVC (270nm-280nm) for rapid pathogen inactivation, to UVA (365nm-410nm) optimized for industrial adhesive curing and chemical spectroscopy. The 3535 packaging specification (3.5mm x 3.5mm footprint) remains the industry gold-standard, offering optimized heat distribution via ceramic substrates, coupled with quartz glass lenses to achieve up to 98% UV transmittance.
Operating across the 270nm-410nm spectrum requires precise wavelength calibration to fit localized market standards. For industrial systems deployed in Uruguay, this range is split into functional operational brackets:
Unlike traditional UV mercury vapor lamps, the solid-state 3535 LED device relies on high thermal-dissipation ceramic packaging to prevent junction temperatures from exceeding 85°C. The sub-mount uses Aluminum Nitride (AlN) with high thermal conductivity (>180 W/mK). If the thermal path is compromised, the LED undergoes wavelength shift and rapid luminance decay. This is why high-performance hardware, such as our LGA4677 Server Radiator or specialized Water-cooled Radiators, plays a crucial role in cooling high-density UV array boards deployed in high-intensity industrial sterilization systems.
Uruguay is positioning itself as a clean energy and technological innovation hub in South America. The local agricultural sector, particularly beef processing, dairy manufacturing (under companies like Conaprole), and bulk wine production, requires high-grade sanitation without introducing chemicals or heat. 270nm-280nm UVC LEDs provide an environmentally friendly alternative to chlorine disinfection and thermal pasteurization.
Additionally, urban centers like Montevideo and coastal communities in Maldonado require reliable municipal water treatment systems. Integrating 3535 UVC LED modules directly into the fluid dynamics of regional treatment plants allows for target inactivation of cryptosporidium and giardia, which are notoriously resistant to standard chlorination.
Maintaining continuous operation in UVC reactors requires high-end server-grade computing power and industrial control boards.

Addressing key technical specifications, operational lifetimes, and integration parameters for optoelectronic arrays.
Solid-state 3535 UVC LEDs are entirely mercury-free, aligning with global environmental directives and Uruguay’s clean tech regulations. They feature instant-on capabilities (no warm-up time), a compact footprint, operate on low DC voltage, and offer localized targeted wavelengths (270nm-280nm) that are highly effective for germicidal sanitization without modifying biological products.
UV LEDs convert about 95% of electrical energy into heat rather than light. If this heat is not removed from the AlGaN chip, the junction temperature rises, causing thermal droop, wavelength drift, and rapid aging. Employing aluminum heatsinks and copper water cooling blocks is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and lifetime of high-power arrays.
For municipal and industrial water treatment (such as OSE purification projects in Uruguay), the ideal range is 270nm to 280nm. Wavelengths within this range closely match the absorption spectrum of nucleic acids (DNA/RNA), neutralizing pathogens like Cryptosporidium, Giardia, and E. coli.
With an R&D center staffed by 76 engineers, we provide complete custom OEM/ODM services. This includes PCB design, driving circuit development, custom mechanical sizing, and integrating control systems to match specific industrial specifications in Uruguay and across South America.
